Illustrated around the tapered barrel of the Retro 51 Tornado pen, a flock of cardinals are chillin’ on the icy winds of a snowy winter’s day. Retro 51 screen printed the hand-drawn design made by Sandy H., accenting the snowy white areas with a glistening effect and trimming the pen with a frosty, satin silver metal accents.
Sandy H. is the 2023 winner of the “Design Your Own Retro 51 Art Contest.” Her “Card Party” design received the most votes out of 4 finalists and dozens of entries from pen enthusiasts, artists, and designers around the world.
Sandy is a big fan of whimsy anda Certified Zentangle Teacher since 2012. Her tangle art has been featured in several published books. Sandy also designed the “Tangled Garden” Retro 51 pen back in 2021.
